Hi, my name is Tibor and I have 20 years of experience in various types of exercise, including gym workouts, home workouts, martial arts, racket sports, yoga, running, cycling, and more. I have always been an active and curious person.
It all started when I decided to make a change in my life. I wanted to get in shape and be healthier, so I signed up for a gym membership. At first, I was excited and motivated to go to the gym every day, but that excitement faded as I realized how difficult it was to stay consistent with my workouts.
The gym was always crowded, and I had to wait in line for the machines I wanted to use. It was also time-consuming to drive to the gym, find parking, and then change into workout clothes. Sometimes I skipped going to the gym altogether because I was too tired or busy. I also felt a bit ashamed because I never felt as strong as other more experienced guys.
Despite the struggles, I continued going to the gym for years, but I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted. I felt demotivated and frustrated. That’s when a friend suggested that I try home exercise instead.
At first, I was skeptical. I thought that home exercise wouldn’t be as challenging as going to the gym, but I was wrong. I discovered that there are plenty of workouts that you can do at home that are just as effective as going to the gym and I could see how sustainable that can be.
The benefits of home exercise were numerous. I no longer had to deal with the crowds or wait in line for machines. I saved time and money by not having to pay for a gym membership or drive to the gym. I could also workout whenever I wanted, even if I only had a few spare minutes.
The best part was that I started seeing results, I started to gain muscle, flexibility and feel better overall. I was also more motivated to workout because I didn’t have to deal with the struggles of going to the gym.
In conclusion, my journey from the gym to home exercise was a struggle, but it was worth it. I discovered that working out at home was just as challenging and effective as going to the gym. The benefits of home exercise were numerous, and I saw real results. If you’re struggling with consistency at the gym, I highly recommend trying home exercise. It can be fun, especially if you have pets who will do everything to distract you.
One of the main benefits of home exercise is that it can be tailored to your specific needs and preferences. You can choose the workouts that you enjoy the most and that work best for your body. You can also modify the workouts to make them more challenging or easier, depending on your fitness level.
Another benefit of home exercise is that it can be done with little to no equipment. Bodyweight exercises, such as push-ups, squats, and lunges, rows or hip bridges can be done anywhere, anytime, without any equipment. You can also use inexpensive equipment, such as resistance bands, TRX, kettlebells or dumbbells, to add variety and challenge to your workouts.
However, it’s important to note that home exercise does require discipline and self-motivation. That’s why it’s important to set realistic goals, create a workout schedule, understand nutrition and macros, and hold yourself accountable.
As the stoic philosopher Epictetus once said, “No great thing is created suddenly.” It takes time and consistent effort to see real results.
Overall, whether you choose to exercise at a gym or at home, the key is to find a sustainable routine that works for you and that you enjoy. Consistency and diet is the most important factor in achieving your fitness goals. Don’t be afraid to experiment with home exercises. It has worked great for me, my clients, my friends and my family, and I am here to help you do the same.
